SURE marksmen are screened and tested hunters, which will provide an opportunity for those landowners who do not have a trustworthy hunter to participate in the population reduction aspects of your communities Goose Management Plan. Eccologix uses the term “SURE” marksmen because applicants are screened on the basis of being Sincere, Unselfish, Responsible and Ethical. All marksmen go through a series of steps (application, criminal background check, interview, 12 hour safety course and skills test) before they are “Eccologix” certified. Each marksman is assigned a manager and each manager acts as the liaison between a group of marksmen and a group of landowners. The manager is responsible for communicating any special requirements the landowner may have to the marksmen, such as days and times for participation, parking, goose removal protocol, etc.
